Company: Getting Started
This page walks you through the two things every new company account does first: completing the Company Setup wizard and building your Work Environment (culture) profile. Once both are done you have full portal access and your open roles can be scored for culture fit.
Initial company setup and the Work Environment profile are completed by a company_admin. Company members join an existing company by invitation and skip the setup wizard.
Complete the setup wizard
Goal: register your company so you can post projects and invite talent. New accounts are sent to the wizard automatically when no active company membership is detected.
- Go to /company/setup. The wizard has three steps shown in the progress bar: Basics → Identity → Confirm.
- On Basics, enter your Legal company name, Display name (how you appear on the platform), optional Website, Industry, and Company size, then click Continue.
- On Identity, enter your Employer Identification Number (EIN) (format
XX-XXXXXXX) and Headquarters location (city and country), then click Continue. - On Confirm, review the Company basics and Identity summaries, check "I confirm this information is accurate and I agree to Illumera's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.", then click Launch portal.
/company/setupThe EIN field is optional during setup. If you continue without one, the wizard shows an amber warning that an EIN is expected before you post projects or invite talent. You can add it later in Company → Profile → Corporate Identity or in Settings.
EIN values are currently stored as plain text (company_profiles.ein). At-rest encryption is
planned but not yet implemented — do not treat the EIN field as encrypted.
Build your Work Environment profile
Goal: define your organization's culture so every candidate can be scored on culture fit. The Work Environment profile uses the Competing Values Framework (CVF).
- Go to /company/culture-setup (or from Company → Profile → Culture & Values, click Set Up Work Environment).
- Answer the 10 culture questions, one per card. Choose the option that reflects how your team actually operates, not how you aspire to operate. The progress bar tracks "X of Y answered". Click Continue when all 10 are answered.
- On the Constraints step, optionally set Primary work mode, Travel requirement, Minimum clearance required, and Standard schedule. These become hard-constraint checks during matching.
- Click Save Profile. You return to your profile's Culture & Values tab.
/company/culture-setupYour answers map to four CVF archetypes that drive culture-fit scoring across all open roles:
| Archetype | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Collaborative | People-first, consensual (Clan) |
| Innovative | Creative, risk-tolerant (Adhocracy) |
| Results-Driven | Competitive, performance-oriented (Market) |
| Structured | Process-driven, controlled (Hierarchy) |
Retake the assessment any time to keep scoring current — changes re-score every open slot on your projects.
