Bench Timeline
The Bench Timeline at /company/bench-timeline is a Gantt-style view of when your engaged people free up and which upcoming role slots they could fill. It helps you plan ahead so people roll smoothly from one engagement to the next.
Admin only
The Bench Timeline requires company_admin access. Members without it see a message that admin access is needed.
Set the window and filters
Goal: focus the timeline on the people and period you care about.
- Open /company/bench-timeline.
- Set the Start Date and End Date (defaults to today through six months out).
- Filter by Project, Skill, and Type (All people, Internal only, External contractors).
- Toggle Show upcoming slot needs to overlay open roles that need staffing.

Goal: spot availability and potential matches.
- Each person has a row with their engagement bars, color-coded by status (see legend), and an "Available from [date]" marker after their last engagement.
- Hover an engagement bar to see the project, status, and dates.
- With slot needs shown, dashed bars at the bottom represent open roles; their color reflects urgency (red under 30 days, gray over 90 days).
- Potential match indicators (violet sparkles) highlight where an available person overlaps with an open slot. Click one to open the slot's match view.

On smaller screens the timeline collapses to a per-person list with availability dates, the same engagement details, and a list of suggested slot matches.
